Wrestling with a website for a non technical person can be something of an experience. I have always marvelled at the wonders of content versus visual wizardry. This week for the first time I think I have almost mastered the pleasures of both only to find that one slows the other down. The more spekky everything looks the slower it runs and the more frustrated you get! So what is a happy medium? Todays information age demands we access everything as fast as possible, 5 seconds too long and the customer is out the door! It also demands high visual impact and for non techys like me that poses the greatest of challenges. I am a content junky myself but love to have it presented in a non standard way. One of my pet hates are those sites you google up, who redirect you and redirect you again until you end up somewhere that has 5 words of information with absolutely no relevance. They are always the ones with high advertising content as well. I would rather get good content and pay for it than be hit with a thousand advertising banners. What about you?
